After 17 hours on the train, we finally reached Mangalore. From here, we took a taxi to Manipal. It was already past midnight when we reached my sister’s apartment. Anyway, I’m glad she has reached the campus safely. Manipal is not a tourist destination. This is where my sister and few hundred other Malaysians study. I stayed there for 3 days, preparing for my solo journey and getting to know the surrounding area including a visit to the most bizarre museum. She also carried me around on her beat-up scooter which only she dare to ride. I also enjoyed myself during lunches and dinners with her housemates and some of her friends. I had so much fun it made me reluctant to bid her farewell when it was time for me proceed to my next destination; Panaji in Goa.
