Fascinating Singapore – Posted on 26 Oct 2006

I went to Singapore for the first time on 22nd October.

Day 1:
- Reached Singapore around 2pm after 5 hours of bus ride from KL
- Searched for money changer (Stupid me. Didn’t bring any SG$)
- Changed money in Golden Mile Complex
- Walked back to Lavender MRT station
- Checked into a Hotel in Geylang around 4pm
- Went to Orchard Road for some shopping and dinner
- Meet up with Dennis and later he brought us to Raffles Place to take some photos

Day 2:
- Open up bank account
- Went to Sentosa Island by MRT and bus
- Visit Dolphin Lagoon, Skyride up the hill, Butterfly park, Luge down the hill, animal & birds encounter, underwater world, 4D Magix and finally Magical Sentosa.

Day 3:
- Checked out from hotel but keep our luggages there
- Took bus to the Science Center
- Watched IMAX (Mars Exploration)
- Took MRT to Lau Pa Sat for dinner
- Took taxi to Golden Mile to catch the bus back to Malaysia

What fascinated me:
1. The road is so smooth and wide. No pothole at all
2. Lots uncles and hookers in Geylang. Business all day round but peak in midnite
3. Public bus is clean (no grafitti and smell) and comfortable. Always available.
4. MRT really long. Alot longer than those in KL.
5. The price of properties. We saw a 3 bedroom flat that cost more than SG$500,000!
6. 3 tier underground MRT station
7. Clean hotel even though it is a budget one
8. Can see alot of teenager plug to their ear phone.
9. Number of road signs. You can never get lost even in city center.
10. The public transport is modern and systematic.
11. No overhead cables
