RM80 Return Flight Tickets

logo

I’m not kidding. Look at this.

It could be cheaper. If I don’t check in any baggage, it would cost RM70 only. RM70 is all you need to pay for flights from KL to Manila and back! That is almost 8 hours of flight or 4,932 km of distance in total. Can you believe that? If you still cannot imagine how cheap is RM70, let me put it in perspective;

  • The bus ticket from Penang to Singapore is RM50. The journey takes around 8 hours for a less than 600km journey. If I take bus for 4,932 km, it would cost RM411 or more than 65 hours of bus ride base on the same rate.
  • Full tank of fuel for my car is RM90 (based on today fuel price) and I can drive up to 500km only. If I can drive from KL to Manila and back in straight line, I would need to spend RM887.76 on fuel and I have to drive for more than 2 days non-stop at average speed of 100km/hour!
  • A normal meal for 2 at a Japanese restaurant cost around the same price.
  • Ferry from Penang to Langkawi cost RM60.

Still need more example? Yes, flying is for poor people!

How is that possible? Well, my beloved airlines; AirAsia has stopped charging fuel surcharge since yesterday. Instead of increasing the airfare or add in other hidden fee, they give away 500,000 free tickets starting today. No fuel surcharge, no air fare, so no need to pay anything ar? Well, not quite. You still have to bear the admin fee and airport tax; which are cheapest items in a flight ticket by the way. More details here.

The promotion starts from today until this Sunday. Traveling period for this promotion is 22 Jun 2009 – 24 Oct 2009. Hurry go holiday at AirAsia now!
