RM80 Return Flight Tickets
Posted by me in Featured Articles, Rants, Travel on November 12, 2008 | No Comments
I’m not kidding. Look at this.
It could be cheaper. If I don’t check in any baggage, it would cost RM70 only. RM70 is all you need to pay for flights from KL to Manila and back! That is almost 8 hours of flight or 4,932 km of distance in total. Can you believe that? If you still cannot imagine how cheap is RM70, let me put it in perspective;
The bus ticket from Penang to Singapore is RM50. The journey takes around 8 hours for a less than 600km journey. If I take bus for 4,932 km, it would cost RM411 or more than 65 hours of bus ride base on the same rate.

While I was doing the usual “morning stuff”, something unexpected struck me. My company’s banner appear in Sunday Star! It came as a surprise because I never paid for it. Well, it was there because Rockybru.com.my has my banner on his blog and his blog was featured in the paper together with screenshot of his blog. What a great way to start the morning! Isn’t the best thing in life is free? See whether you can spot my banner in the paper.
My short stint with Astro
Posted by me in Rants on November 10, 2008 | 3 Comments
Career has always been my first priority for the past few years and because of that, I rarely turn on my TV set. That explain why I don’t subscribe to Astro or any cable/satellite TV services. However, Astro came to town (Juru Auto City) last Saturday to held a very grand singing competition’s final called Hua Hee Karaoke 2008. It is not just any singing competition but Hokkien song singing competition that will broadcast via its Hokkien channel called Hua Hee Dai (channel number 333). The reason why I mentioned about this event is not because I’m a big fan of Hokkien song or...

White water rafting in Sungai Sedim
Posted by me in Adventure, Featured Articles, White Water Rafting on October 30, 2008 | 2 Comments
This is what I did on last weekend.
Adventurous water sports have always been my favorite past time. Other than white water rafting, I have tried wind surfing, which I failed miserably.
However, rafting is so much easier than wind surfing. It is very safe and no technical skills are needed. All you need is some energy for paddling. The rest is simply following instructions from the skipper.
I found out about Sungai Sedim few years back from a friend. Apparently, the place is popular for team building activities for workers from nearby Kulim High Tech Industrial Park. Before this, I have visited...
The Famous Stone of Bukit Minyak
Posted by me in Rants on October 19, 2008 | No Comments
There are many famous stones around the world.
Firstly, one of my favorite stone is the English rock band; The Rolling Stones. Even though they are uncles now, but they still rock.
Then who can forget the hot auntie Sharon Stone in the leg crossing scene in Basic Instinct?
How about that head-bashing-body-throwing machine from WWE; Stone Cold Steve Austin? He really lives up to his name. I bet certain parts of his body is really as hard as a stone.
We also have a stone that can predict today’s weather with amazing accuracy.
However, I am proud to say that we have a stone that is equally...

On top of Malaysia - Posted on 13 Feb 2007
It’s high, it’s cold, it’s crazy… and it’s peak of Mount Kinabalu. After recuperating from the unsuccessful attempt 6 months ago, I finally made it to the top… in a day! Yes, we (Ong, Joe and me) climbed from mountain foot (Timpohon gate) directly to the peak in a day.
I still can’t believe I walked up there
Group photo before climb.
In order for us to complete the journey in the same day, we have to make it to Laban Rata rest house before 12 noon. Based on my last climb, which...
